I love NTU. And it's not a cheena boring sch which people always sterotype it to be. There are people who actually condemn NTU as well. All I can say is that these people are wrong. Yes people in NTU speak Mandarin and we also speak Hokkien. We like it. Even people who doesnt speak both these languages are lovin' it in NTU. We shout in Hokkien; we have Hokkien cheers. We have the NTU spirit. And who says we dont speak English? We love English; we speak our English. We are multi-lingual and language holds no barriers.

We dont dress fugly. We dress like all varsity students in Singapore. We wear flip-flops, tank tops, halters and even tubes. But we all look decent, prim and proper like how students should carry themselves to be.

Anyway it's not the issue of how hip, how stylish how "English" we should be. There are great bonds between us, even between people of different land and culture. We embrace change and we adopt and adapt. We dont conform. We are still having fun.

We have great friendships; relationships that are not merely skin-deep. We develop relationships that last.

Varsity's not all about grades. It's about life. It's a stepping stone to something even greater out there. It's high time to grow up and look beyond looks. Who are you to judge?

Wahhhhh!!!!!

Today spent cleaning up my room at NTU. Oh my.. it's like -gulps- grime all over the floor and -yeeks- insects in hidden corners. Me and Shan were like -arghhh- so drama. So we scrubbed like nothing (until the mop broke. serious) till the floor sees us again (hurray! after being hidden under all that grime). It was a massive clean up I must say.

And to our (absolute) horror... our neighbours (front, left, right) are... from PRC!!! -urghh- So we will be reliving the days of dunman AGAIN. SO lucky.

Just heard from one senior that my room was previously occupied by 2 Indian girls. -ahem- So I guess we all get it now.

Back from ODAC camp.. woohoo had so much fun.. woohoo.. one of the bestest camps I've been to.. wheee..so high now :))

Highlights of the camp:
Day 1: Ice-breakers, NTU challenge and amazing race!! Slept in the open field outside indoor stadium.. -brrr-

Day 2: Kayaking, rock-climbing and supermarket shopping for trekking trip!!

Day3: Head off to Malaysia, Kota Tinggi. Took bus across causeway with my 55 plus 10 litres deuter bag.. wah very heavy. In the evening had cooking competition. really dark at night.. starry starry night.. and I saw a firefly for the first time in my life! Also everybody had to date a senior for finale night.. whee. Got my date after singing "the moon represents my love" and a group massage.. hehe. Some others had to "auction" themselves hahaha...

Day4: trekked up to the pelapah waterfall.. super exciting and fun. Rained when we decended.. got super muddy and dirty but it's worth every inch. Had campfire at night..lots of songs, cheers and laughter :)

Day 5: Broke camp in the morn and headed back to S'pore. Had to clean up and wash stores plus prepare for finale night performance.

Day 6: Canoe polo.. first try. It's fun lo! My group got 2nd place haha.. later washed up and got dressed for finale night. Met my date at Hall 15 function room where the finale night was held. Exchanged pressies and had buffet dinner. Everyone was so high!!

ODAC camp really rocks :))
